Nov 1, 2018 @ 4:59

Recognizing the displacement of people from the insecurity and insurgencies in Northern Nigeria, the Kinnect team’s Christmas Charity drive raised funds for the purchase of food and other basic household materials for Nigerians in Internally Displaced camps in Borno State.

On the 10th and 11th of January 2017, Kinnect partnered with the Field Protection Unit of the United Nations High Commission for Refugee (UNHCR) and a local NGO, SAHEI to distribute food items to 692 individuals from 90 households in internally displaced persons (IDP) camp in Biafra and Fariya communities, Maiduguri Borno state in Northern Nigeria.

The donation and contribution from Kinnect were distributed to the most vulnerable in the two host communities; Biafra and Fariya.
