This role is responsible for providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action. This person will manage and monitor transparent accounting operation and operating budgets in line with local laws and regulations. As well as collect, analyze, and summarize account information and keep up financials policies, regulation, and legislation.
This person will prepare activity reports on financial forecasts and maintain the financial health of the nonprofit organization. They will be responsible for ensuring that all the accounting books are kept up to date, audit financial transactions, and ensure the proper financial procedures are maintained throughout the organization. They will support the Program Manager in planning and budgeting of all financial aspects of programs and prepare the financial reports for donors.
The ideal candidate has a BS/MA degree in Accounting or Finance, experience in the financial sector, attention to detail, can be confidential, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and interest in human rights issues. Knowledge of accounting in an NGO setting and excellent accounting software is a plus. This a volunteer role with a commitment level of 3 to 5 hours per week.
Community Engagement Manager
This role is responsible for managing the online community engagement by building relationships, connecting community members to each other and events and managing content. The person is the key point of contact for the community members and they provide support for the existing community members. They act as the primary day-to-day contact point for community members. They work to facilitate a relationship between community members through transparent, honest and responsive communication and by providing ongoing support to Kinnect volunteers.
Work with the Kinnect team to find opportunities for community engagement and partnerships between community members. They will prepare, curate, manage and share content of interest to members. They will organize an online and offline activity to grow the community and promote awareness about Kinnect’s mission and causes. The candidate will work with the team to develop and implement a long-term community engagement plan to build and support an inclusive community and work under the supervision of the Managing Director.
The ideal candidate has experience in managing communities, preferably online communities that use advocacy to inspire action among its members. They are interested in catalyzing and inspiring action in community members. Excellent verbal and written skills in English and experience in digital communication is mandatory. They need to be able to work effectively both independently and in a team. Areas of study include Marketing, Communications, International Developments or related fields. It is a volunteer role and the individual will dedicate 3-5 hours of their time per week for this role.
