Kinnect is a non-profit and non-governmental organization with a platform designed to connect people who want to change the world with awesome and fun initiatives that cause positive change.
Kinnect has been instrumental in driving my passion for quality education, and my commitment to ensure to close the gap of educational inequity in Nigeria. I am a Kinnecter that used the platform to help implement my Library Project for LEA Community Primary School, Waru in Abuja. Kinnect inspired me to take on projects and set big goals. Looking back today, I feel a sense of fulfillment for having touched the lives of several children. Thank you Kinnect for the opportunity to serve on your platform.

I moved away from home and it seemed like finding a group of like-minded young people in Lagos would be a herculean task but I was wrong. I joined Kinnect as a volunteer and now I never bother about how to show love to a community especially at Christmas. What I love most about Kinnect is how they identify communities not so far from us but we’ve never paid attention to notice that they also need some love. The conversations I’ve had with volunteers and the passion each individual shares during events make me believe that the future wouldn’t be as gloom. I’m proud to be associated with such a brand that distance or not the founders never let the vision slack.

Volunteering at the Kinnect Soup kitchen is an experience I will never forget. I got the opportunity to go to a neighborhood I had never been before, feeding children and meeting some of their parents gave me a different perspective to the struggles the less privilege have and how much more I can do to help others in need. I encourage everyone to support Kinnect and join a fun network of people who are passionate about volunteering and providing solutions to social issues in Nigeria.

Volunteering with the Kinnect Food Kitchen to share the joy of Christmas with children from Ajegunle slum remains one of the sweet memories I will always live to remember. The whole exercise was not just about feeding some hungry lads but a mission to show the singular important quality the universe crave – love. From the wide participation during the ‘question bee’ to the jubilant smile of each child receiving a special treat, you cannot resist the joyful feeling enveloping everyone in the room. Surely, the race for the future started yesterday and when I see what young leaders like Kinnect are doing; I always remind myself that there is hope for Nigeria. Thanks for the opportunity.
